Electric Guitar Effects
The Soft Focus guitar reverb pedal is inspired by the patch of the same name found on the Yamaha FX500 multi-effects pedal that was widely used in the 90s. The Soft Focus pedal is designed to take you 30 years back in time, in the footsteps of early shoegaze bands such as Slowdive in their hit Souvlaki, but without the original effect's most annoying problems: lack of mix control, a less-than-stellar preamp and widely audible distortion of the signal, even when the effect was switched off.

Presentation
At its heart, Soft Focus is a highly modified plate reverb with an adjustable time, which is then divided into three channels.
One path contains a multi-voice choir modulator, another features a well-arranged upper octave mixed in with the reverb, and the third path leaves the reverb untouched.
The Mod pot controls the speed of the chorus on the first path and the Symphony pot controls the octave level on the second path.
All the controls are coupled to the tone of the reverb to offer an extensive playfield of timbres to discover and refine.
