The Cayin CS-100A EL34 Silver is a hi-fi stereo tube amplifier designed for demanding music fans. Its design is based on eight EL34 tubes, backed up by dedicated tubes for the various amplifier stages, delivering an impressive 2 x 80 watts in ultra-linear mode. This reserve of energy means it can be used with floorstanding speakers as well as compact models, guaranteeing dynamic, controlled reproduction.
One of its major assets is its dual operating mode. The triode mode, offering 2 x 50 watts, favours warm, organic listening, with a full, nuanced sound image.
The ultra-linear mode, which is more powerful, accentuates the impact in the bass and widens the soundstage, allowing the rendering to be adapted to the listener's preferences and the characteristics of the speakers used. Full connectivity includes three RCA line inputs, a direct stereo input for use with an external preamplifier, and two subwoofer outputs for easy integration of a subwoofer.
