The Cayin HA-3A Silver is a 6V6S tube headphone amplifier, designed with open-circuit wiring to preserve signal purity and deliver a richly nuanced musical performance. Presentation
The Cayin HA-300 MK2 Silver is a high-end valve headphone amplifier designed to get the best out of a wide variety of headphones and earphones. Its design features a separate external power supply housed in a separate chassis, a solution designed to isolate the audio circuits and preserve signal integrity.
This dedicated power supply utilises a toroidal transformer and four NOS 22DE4 RCA tubes to ensure a stable power supply to the various stages of the unit. The amplification section combines two Tung-Sol 6SN7GTB tubes for the preamplifier stage and two 300B tubes for the power stage, forming the heart of its architecture.
The HA-300 MK2 Silver delivers up to 6000 mW on its balanced XLR output and up to 5000 mW on its unbalanced outputs. Its three-level gain selector allows the available power to be effectively adapted to headphones with impedances ranging from 8 to 600 ohms.
For headphone connections, it features a 6.35 mm jack output, a balanced 4.4 mm jack output and a balanced XLR output. The unit also features speaker terminals capable of delivering 2 x 8 W. Its RCA and XLR inputs make it easy to connect to a wide range of compatible audio sources.
