The Cayin IDAC-6 MK2 is a digital-to-analogue converter designed to integrate seamlessly into a modern hi-fi system whilst offering great flexibility of use. Its architecture is based on two ESS ES9028Pro converters arranged in a symmetrical configuration to optimise channel separation and the signal-to-noise ratio.
It supports PCM files up to 32-bit / 768 kHz as well as DSD streams up to DSD512, allowing you to fully enjoy high-resolution audio recordings.
One of its distinctive features is the presence of two separate output stages. The user can select a transistor output for precise and dynamic reproduction, or a valve output using four 6N1B valves to tailor the sound signature to their listening preferences. This design offers great flexibility for integration into an audio system.
The Cayin IDAC-6 MK2 also features a preamplifier function with a fixed or variable output level, making it easy to pair with a power amplifier. Its large LCD screen simplifies access to settings and the selection of the five available digital filters.
Thanks to its numerous digital inputs, including USB, HDMI I2S, AES/EBU, optical and coaxial, it adapts easily to a wide range of audio sources.
