Cort - G290 Modern Pale Graphite

The Cort G290 Modern Pale Graphite guitar is designed as a modern instrument, with a focus on precise playing and versatile sound. It features bolt-on construction with a poplar body and a neck made from roasted maple, renowned for its stability and responsiveness.

The Ergo-V profile follows the hand naturally, making it easy to move quickly along the entire length of the neck. The torrefied maple fingerboard has a compound radius of 12" to 15.75", making it comfortable to play in chords or solo. The 22 medium-jumbo stainless steel frets provide a clean attack and long life.

The HSS configuration combines two Cort Voiced Tone VTS-63 singles with a Seymour Duncan TB4 humbucker in bridge position. This pickup delivers a tight bass, precise midrange and an output level suited to modern saturation. The neck and centre pickups produce clear, articulate tones with good definition and a clean attack. The push-pull on the tone control allows the humbucker to be split for more open textures, akin to a simple coil. The five-position selector facilitates rapid transitions between registers.

The Graph Tech Black TUSQ saddle provides greater tuning stability and an even response. The Cort CFA-III S Tremolo vibrato allows for controlled variations while maintaining in tune. The staggered locking action speeds up string changes and enhances tuning stability. The double-action truss rod with spoke-nut access simplifies fine tuning.

The Pale Graphite finish highlights the guitar's sober, contemporary aesthetic, in keeping with its clear focus on performance and control.
