D'Angelico - Premier Bowery LS Aged Mahogany
D'Angelico Premier Bowery LS Aged Mahogany The D'Angelico Premier Bowery LS Aged Mahogany marks a new chapter in the brand’s history: that of electro-acoustic guitars designed for the stage. The laminated mahogany top delivers a round bass response, whilst the roasted merbau fingerboard retains a crisp attack. The MG-30 preamp with built-in tuner allows the instrument to be plugged in without any technical fuss.
Presentation
The single-cutaway Dreadnought body opens up access to the higher registers on a neck designed to let you reach them without hesitation. The laminated mahogany top, sides and back form a cohesive soundbox, where the bass remains solid and the midrange stays warm, supported by X-Scalloped bracing that allows the wood to breathe.
The mahogany neck, with a dovetail joint, features a C-shaped profile that fits comfortably in the palm, secured by a dual-action truss rod adjustable via the soundhole. The torrefied merbau fingerboard responds with a crisp feel under the fingers; its 304.8 mm radius allows for wide chords across 20 Medium Jumbo frets, whilst the PPS nut transmits vibration without loss.
The torrefied merbau Stairstep bridge and Stairstep Wave tuners create a distinctive visual identity, whilst the D’Angelico MG-30 preamp with built-in tuner connects the instrument directly, whether on stage or in the studio, with D’Addario EXP-16 (12-53) fitted as standard.

D'Angelico is a New York brand of electric guitars that has existed since 1938. First went unnoticed because the guitars were manufactured only by hand in a very small workshop by two luthiers; it is in 2011, at a show at the New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, that D'Angelico is noticed. Since then, D'Angelico guitars have been a real success thanks to their quality of manufacture and their price.
