Presentation
In DAP's touring amplifier range, the TA-4.750 is positioned as a versatile power block, designed to handle mobile configurations where compactness and electrical efficiency play a central role. This 1U model concentrates four channels capable of delivering up to 750 watts each at 4 ohms, with confirmed stability at 2 ohms for systems requiring increased drive capacity. It can operate in stereo, parallel, mono or bridge modes, leaving plenty of scope for configuration according to the type of speakers and system architecture.
The integrated DSP gives it great flexibility of adaptation. The Bessel, Butterworth and Linkwitz-Riley crossovers can be configured with different slopes, allowing the cuts to be fine-tuned to the needs of a multi-way system. Parametric input and output EQs, extended delays, phase management and internal 4 x 4 mixing make it easy to set up complete processing without the need for external equipment. Network control via software for Windows 10/11 provides a clear view of protection status, temperature and load behaviour, improving monitoring when on tour.
The electronics are based on Class D amplification combined with a universal SMPS power supply incorporating active PFC. This choice optimises efficiency, stabilises the unit in the face of voltage variations and reduces the overall weight for ease of transport. The front-mounted ventilation system ensures a constant flow of air to the rear of the rack to maintain reliable operating conditions, even when several amplifiers are stacked on top of each other.
The front panel offers direct access to the LCD screen and quick settings via an encoder, so you can check load parameters, levels, temperature or active mode without going through the software. The rear features XLR connectors for inputs and 4-pin Speakon outputs, complemented by a network port. Solid, ventilated and lightweight, the TA-4.750 is designed to meet the needs of performance environments where speed of set-up and consistency of sound are essential.
