Electric Guitar Effects
Total Sonic Annihilation 2 is based on a simple idea: what if the effects pedals were looped back on themselves? What if a filter was multiplied by infinity? Or what if your modulator modulated its own modulations? The TSA2 creates a controllable feedback loop, forcing your pedals back on themselves, feeding the output back into the input as much or as little as you like. Experience true sonic exploration: each unique set of pedals will produce a vast world of textures and possibilities.

Presentation
If you've ever used a feedback loop pedal (like the 1st edition of Total Sonic Annihilation), you know the vast world of wild and crazy sounds you can get.
With this new updated version of the original, ACTIVE BOOST maximises usability for many applications where the original was insufficient.
For example, if the effect in the feedback loop is out of phase with itself, the loop would turn the pedal into a volume or mix pedal and be somewhat disappointing.
With the TSA2, all you have to do is press the PHASE switch and suddenly these previously inactive possibilities are awakened!
The BOOST also has a boatload of gain to awaken even the weakest effect into an unearthly monster, and a LIMITER to tame the most unruly beast into a purring kitten.
Experiment with as many different pedals in the FEEDBACK loop for unique and incredible results!

What are the controls for Total Sonic Annihilation 2?
- FEEDBACK: This controls the amount of SEND (external effect input) that is fed back into RECEIVE (external effect output).
This creates feedback in the circuit to create new, unbridled and experimental effects and results.
The higher this knob is turned up, the more intense and explosive the effects will be.
The ACTIVE BOOST is also in this loop and (if engaged) will be pushed back on itself to create its own wild and interesting sounds if nothing is plugged into the loop.
- Switch ON: In the ON position, this toggle switch activates the ACTIVE BOOST circuit.
- PHASE switch: Inverts the phase of the effects loop, only when the ACTIVE BOOST is activated.
- GAIN: Controls the amount of gain of the ACTIVE BOOST circuit.
- LIMIT: Limits the output volume of the entire pedal, only when ACTIVE BOOST is active.
- Foot Switch: Bypasses the effect.
- NOTE: When the TSA2 is off, the TSA2 is bypassed but each pedal in the loop is still part of your signal chain. All the effects in the loop work as usual.
What are the connections on the Total Sonic Annihilation 2 for?
- INPUT: plug an instrument into this socket.
- OUTPUT: The output of Total Sonic Annihilation 2 is here. It connects to your amplifier.
- SEND: Connect this to the input of the effect (or effects chain) you wish to control and distort. If it's not connected, it's internally connected to the receive socket.
- RECEIVE: This is connected to the output of the effects in the feedback loop.
- NOTE: When ACTIVE BOOST is not engaged, the pedal is completely passive and can operate without power.
