The circuit has been extensively reworked to take the already over-the-top character of the original model even further, while offering musicians even more control.

At the heart of this XXX version, the traditional transistor array has been replaced by very high-gain discrete transistors. Ergonomics have also changed significantly. The crunch potentiometer of previous versions has been replaced by a compression selector, enabling instant modification of the circuit's dynamic response. The most striking work, however, concerns the tone section, which has been completely redesigned. The new Hi and Lo settings allow the high and low frequencies to be sculpted precisely around the main filter. This is complemented by internal switches that modify the sweep curve of the filter, ranging from a relatively flat response to very deep or strongly accentuated midrange signatures. This flexibility allows the pedal to be adapted to a wide variety of guitars, amps and contexts, from massive walls of sound to more defined textures.

The Loudness and Sustain controls, true to the original spirit, remain at the heart of the experience. They can be used to push an amplifier to its limits, or to obtain extreme fuzz, saturated to excess, with enormous bass and almost infinite sustain.
