Electric Guitar Effects

Digitech's DOD Overdrive Preamp 250 50th Anniversary Edition is a limited-edition version of the classic pedal, hand-built in the USA using the authentic components and design of the 1974 original. Its distinguishing feature is the addition of a three-position selector switch that provides kick-ass musical versatility, allowing you to choose between the original silicon sound, an asymmetrical germanium diode option or a pure boost mode with no diode clipping.

To celebrate 50 years of DOD Electronics, DigiTech unveils the Overdrive Preamp 250, 50th Anniversary Edition, a reinvented iconic pedal.

Handcrafted in the USA, it retains the vintage 1974 design while incorporating three saturation modes: Silicon for classic grit, Ge/ASYM for harmonically rich asymmetrical distortion and Lift for a clear boost without clipping.

Its analogue circuit, based on the famous LM741 op-amp, delivers a dynamic and expressive response, from subtle crunch to aggressive distortion. Limited to 1,974 units, it's aimed at collectors and demanding guitarists alike.

Supplied with commemorative accessories and a certificate of authenticity, this special edition embodies DOD's sonic heritage while opening up new creative possibilities.
