Designed in the late 70s to meet the ever-increasing demand for saturation and aggression needed by the still-emerging hard rock and heavy metal bands, the X2N has lived up to its status as a "prisoner's step".
With a super-high electrical output level, a large coil and a fully-charged ceramic magnet, the X2N doesn't mess around and is only too happy to push your amp to the limit.
By replacing the traditional pin/screw system with magnetic bars, the attack is always balanced between all the strings and brings a welcome heaviness in the low midrange to sound even more massive.
You only have to think of the sound of Chuck Schuldiner from Death (whose guitar only featured a simple X2N) to be convinced.
Thanks to its bar design, its spacing is universal, adapting to both fixed-bridge and vibrato models.
