Presentation
An instrument that breathes as you play: the Ditson by Sigma DC 15E goes off the beaten track by swapping traditional spruce for a 100% mahogany body. This radical choice generates a natural compression and organic warmth that flirts with the roots of the Blues. Its 14-fret Dreadnought format projects this woody voice with natural authority, whether you're in the middle of an acoustic jam or alone at the mike.
Here, touch is just as important as hearing. The low-profile neck, secured by a dovetail joint, reduces tension under the fingers. This architecture, coupled with a short 632 mm pitch, makes complex barrels a simple formality. The Laurel fingerboard and 43 mm nut welcome your melodies with a welcome suppleness, and the satin finish avoids any 'rubbery' feeling under the palm during fast unhitches.
Hardware-wise, this guitar is no slouch when it comes to precision. The chrome Diecast tuners hold the D'Addario EXP16 strings with exemplary rigour, supported by bone saddles that magnify every harmonic. As soon as the need for volume arises, the Sigma preamplifier takes over. In the studio or plugged into a combo for a live performance, the cutaway frees your creativity to reach the high notes without the slightest physical constraint.
