Electro-Voice's ZLX-15P-G2 isn't here to make up the numbers. With 1000 W under the bonnet, it delivers a clean, muscular and detailed signal without flinching. Behind its sober facade, we find a 15" woofer determined to shake the walls and a titanium dome tweeter to keep the highs as sharp as a well-felt slap. The whole system is supported by an SST waveguide that ensures even coverage, whether you're right in front of it or stuck behind a green plant at the back of the room.
The tech side isn't faking it either. Bluetooth 5.0 with stereo link, control via the QuickSmart Mobile app, five DSP modes, presets for EV subwoofers, and a colour LCD screen that looks just like the one on your connected toaster. The speaker can be discreet or talkative, depending on what you want, but it always responds to the touch of a finger - especially if that finger has downloaded the app.
And to keep the duo in top form between two sets, the ZLX-15-G2-CVR covers take care of everything. Padded, with openings for handles and a side pocket, they dress up your speakers with more class than that old promotional T-shirt you keep 'just in case'.
