The 8mm slotted shaft fits Strat™ knobs without constraint, and its format respects the dimensions of standard potentiometers, making it easy to replace without cumbersome adjustments. For those who prefer passive EMG-HZ pickups, the 250K and 500K versions meet the same requirements.
