Presentation
The EMG HAX's surprising humbucker format conceals a truly simple active coil, with an integrated X preamp to add depth and nuance to the playing. Thanks to its Alnico magnets and resonance frequency of around 4 kHz, it produces a precise, balanced sound that highlights the clarity of the notes and the richness of the harmonics.
This pickup is not designed for highly saturated metal like an EMG 81. It's particularly interesting for those looking for a clearer, more detailed sound, perfect for funk, light rock or blues, where each note needs to stand out distinctly.
Supplied with a complete solderless kit, it's easy to install without a soldering iron, which will also appeal to those who like to change set-ups frequently.
It remains compatible with all other EMG pickups, as well as accessories such as the EXG, SPC and RPC.
