With the EMG HX X Series, you can equip your 6-string guitar with a simple coil enclosed in a humbucker cover, for a sober look and clear sound.
Equipped with ceramic magnets and an X preamp, it produces a clean attack, a fine reserve of dynamics and precise rendering of chords and nuances in solo playing. The 4.52 kHz resonance favours the midrange and treble, making this pickup particularly suited to funky rhythms, chiselled blues parts or rock that requires good note articulation.
The active VLPF control, included in the kit, is used to soften the high frequencies for a more muffled sound if required.
Even if you've never touched a soldering iron, installing this pickup is child's play thanks to its solderless connection system. You can even combine it effortlessly with other EMG microphones to personalise your sound.
