This limited-edition Hummingbird guitar pays tribute to a personal instrument that played a particularly significant role in Marcus King’s career. Many features capture the spirit of his historic model, notably the shape of the pickguard and certain aesthetic choices.

Among the notable features of this model, the square-shouldered dreadnought body contributes to a full-bodied and balanced acoustic response. The solid rosewood back and sides, combined with a spruce top, contribute to a rich tone, with a sonic character that evolves naturally over years of use.

Particular attention has been paid to the luthiery details. The rosewood bridge features a compensated bone nut and bespoke inlays reflecting Marcus King’s geographical roots.

In terms of playing comfort, the glued mahogany neck features a C-shaped profile designed to ensure a comfortable grip. The 647.7 mm scale length offers a familiar feel for many guitarists. The rosewood fingerboard features mother-of-pearl inlays. The overall design maintains a strong aesthetic coherence whilst facilitating easy navigation along the neck.

For amplified performances, this guitar is fitted with an L.R. Baggs Element Bronze system installed beneath the bridge saddle.
