Epiphone - Les Paul Custom Alpine White Inspired By Gibson Custom
The luthiers at Epiphone have teamed up with the Custom Shop at Gibson US to produce a series of Inspired By guitars that bear their name. Take, for example, this sublime Les Paul Custom in its Alpine White finish, featuring a mahogany body, maple top and 50s-style mahogany neck. The electronics are no slouch either, with Gibson USA 490R/498T pickups delivering a classic, timeless sound.
Presentation
The Les Paul Custom represents the 'top of the range' model and is nicknamed Tuxedo by the English-speaking world because of its sober, classy appearance.
It features a maple top over a solid mahogany body, for a massive, warm and precise sound. This is the Rock guitar par excellence.
Add a Rounded 50's neck and an Ebony fingerboard, and you have in your hands a guitar of total authenticity, as faithful as possible to the models of yesteryear.
Dressed in Alpine White, this LP Custom has a high-gloss lacquer finish to great effect, highlighting the gold hardware.
Even the electronics are 'top of the range', with all the cables handmade from a selection of the finest components in the business: CTS potentiometers, CTS capacitors and, above all, Gibson USA 490R/498T pickups.
A cult item in the 80s and 90s, these pickups forged the sound of some of the most iconic bands in rock and even metal, thanks to their high output levels.
