FiiO presents the K9 AKM, a desktop headphone amplifier designed to combine the functions of a USB DAC and a headphone amplifier in a single device. It features an AKM AK4499EX DAC paired with the AK4191EQ modulator, as well as an
XMOS XU308 USB controller to support playback of PCM files up to 32-bit/768 kHz and DSD512 files.
Its THX AAA amplification delivers up to 2,000 mW into 32 ohms and features adjustable gain to suit different headphones and earphones. Analogue, optical, coaxial, USB-B and USB-C inputs allow for easy connection to a wide range of sources, whilst USB DAC mode enables use with a Windows or Mac computer.
The FiiO K9 AKM also features balanced and unbalanced headphone outputs, as well as RCA and XLR line outputs for integration into various audio set-ups. This configuration makes it a comprehensive solution for enjoying both analogue and digital sources within a headphone listening system.
