At the heart of its design are three collaborative sound sources. The Rare Earth magnetic pickup, a pillar of clarity and warm bass, incorporates a condenser pickup for air and acoustic realism. The third player, the Tap Body Sensor, is fixed to the table. Its role? To capture the nuances of the taps and the deep resonance of the wood, eliminating the risk of feedback that is so annoying in a monitor situation. You control the balance between microphone and percussion via two knobs discreetly housed in the rosette.

The magic happens at the output. A single cable is all you need for a mixed mono signal. For sound experimentation, use the included stereo adaptor cable. It separates the percussion signal from that of the strings and microphone, opening the door to independent effects, EQ and volume processing on each track of your console or interface. This flexibility is invaluable, whether you're recording multitrack or want to give your rhythm section more presence live.
