The Flight Maia Baritone EQ-A Steel String cheerfully breaks with convention and offers a completely new acoustic experience. Part of the Princess series, this model immediately stands out in the brand’s catalogue thanks to its steel strings.

Whilst it is tuned like a traditional baritone ukulele in D-G-B-E, its tone is closer to that of a small tenor guitar. The result is striking: the tone is particularly bright and dynamic, with clear projection and generous sustain that lends superb depth to strummed chords and picked lines.

The high-end craftsmanship showcases a magnificent solid mango top, renowned for its visual appeal and rich reproduction of mid and low frequencies.

It is complemented by a back and sides made of rosewood, a dense wood that brings remarkable clarity and produces exceptionally pure high frequencies.

In terms of comfort, the African mahogany neck features a satin finish that feels very pleasant under the thumb, whilst the rosewood fingerboard is adorned with unique, highly elegant triangular inlays.

To facilitate access to the upper frets without sacrificing the body’s natural volume, the luthiers have designed a sculpted, gloss black cutaway, matching the headstock and body purfling.

Fitted with a Double C1U active pickup concealed beneath the mother-of-pearl rosette, it plugs in in a flash for live performances or studio use. It comes with a 15 mm padded gig bag and a set of stickers.
