The Flight Nighthawk EQ-A Tenor is an instrument with a strong character, designed to challenge the conventions of musicians seeking a unique platform for improvisation. With its bold design and finishes inspired by a sporty aesthetic, this all-solid model offers a particularly immersive playing experience. Its tenor size with a 430 mm scale length combines with a comfortable 38 mm nut width to offer excellent freedom of movement, allowing your hands to explore the rosewood fingerboard without any physical constraints.

The acoustic signature originates from a solid spruce top finished in a stunning, dark and hypnotic ‘moonburst’ gradient. This highly responsive wood delivers striking clarity and crystal-clear projection, whilst the solid African mahogany body infuses the instrument with a warm, woody tone and deep resonance.

To perfect this tonal formula, Flight has chosen Worth Brown fluorocarbon strings and a rosewood peg bridge, a system that optimises tension and faithfully transmits every nuance of attack to the soundboard. The compensated bone nut and saddle, meanwhile, ensure precise intonation right up to the top of the neck.

The instrument instantly catches the eye with its contrasting visual details: binding and a bevelled cutaway draped in synthetic blue mother-of-pearl, complemented by very modern offset square fret markers. This ergonomic cutaway provides easy access to the high notes without compromising the natural volume of the body.

Ready for the stage or the studio, the Double C1U active preamp faithfully reproduces the dynamics of your sessions, with its control knobs concealed beneath the soundhole. This exceptional tenor saxophone travels well-protected in its Royal Series purple case, padded with 20 mm of padding, accompanied by a humidifier designed to preserve its solid wood.
