The Gibson Non-Reverse Thunderbird Sparkling Burgundy delivers bold style and commanding tone, true to its 1965 heritage. A favorite among bassists looking to stand out, this legendary model combines distinctive design with remarkable sonic performance for the stage or studio.
Its non-reverse mahogany body, finished in a high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer, provides excellent resonance and extended sustain. The mahogany neck features a comfortable Rounded profile and an Indian rosewood fingerboard with 20 medium jumbo frets and acrylic dot inlays.
With a 34-inch scale, this bass offers smooth playability and precise intonation, ideal for any musical style.
Electronics include two Thunderbird pickups (Rhythm for the neck and Lead for the bridge), each equipped with an individual volume knob for a customizable sound mix.
A master tone knob completes this intuitive setup, providing great flexibility in creating your sound. Chrome pickup covers and a three-ply white pickguard with the iconic Thunderbird motif add a striking visual touch.
On the hardware side, the Thunderbird features a three-point adjustable bridge, ensuring customizable action and precise intonation. Lightweight and reliable Hipshot Ultralite tuners provide stable tuning while reducing headstock weight, improving the instrument’s overall balance.
