Presentation
The Fender Player II Precision Bass Cactus Gray is designed to meet the demands of modern bassists while retaining classic Fender architecture. Its streamlined alder body is finished in Cactus Gray high-gloss polyester. The maple neck has a Modern C profile for a smooth, fluid grip.
The fingerboard has a 9.5″ (241 mm) radius with rounded edges for easy movement along the entire length of the neck. 20 medium jumbo frets are spread over a 34″ (864 mm) fingerboard length. The Precision Bass® Player Series split-coil pickup is based on AlNiCo V magnets. This configuration delivers solid bass, structured mids and precise attack.
The electronic controls are deliberately uncluttered, with a master volume and master tone. The standard bridge with 4 ridged steel bridges allows fine adjustments of intonation and action. Exposed geared tuning machines contribute to stable tuning. The fittings have a nickel/chrome finish. The pickguard is 3-ply black, white and black. The original strings are Fender® USA 7250M Nickel Plated Steel in .045-.105 gauge.
