Godin - RG-4 Ultra Carbon White

The Godin RG-4 Ultra Carbon White bass has been designed for bassists who like to explore different sounds without changing instruments. Its strong point is that it combines a traditional magnetic pickup system with an on-board acoustic system. You can switch from one to the other in a matter of moments, or use them together. This flexibility opens the door to a wide range of sound colours depending on the playing context.

The chambered Canadian basswood body helps to reduce weight while maintaining good resonance. The silver leaf maple top adds a touch of elegance and completes the construction of the instrument. The hard maple neck and rosewood fingerboard provide a pleasant, natural feel. With its 34" pitch, this bass stays within the standards appreciated by many bassists.

The magnetic part is based on a Seymour Duncan Vintage P-Bass pickup and a Seymour Duncan Apollo J-Bass. This duo delivers warm, round tones as well as more defined attacks. The LR Baggs preamp adds a second personality thanks to the acoustic sensors built into the bridge. There are also bass, midrange and treble controls, as well as a Fat selector and adjustable band saturation simulation.

The 2 outputs allow you to send electric and acoustic signals separately to different equipment, or to mix them as required. This approach gives you plenty of freedom on stage and in the studio. The ebony bridge contributes to the instrument's natural response. Its semi-gloss Carbon White colour adds a modern touch that contrasts elegantly with its design, inspired by traditional basses.
