The BritStrip offers a true 73 mic preamp, extended 73 EQ, discrete Class A DI and Heritage Audio's famous diode bridge compressor.
It's like chaining together a 73 JR II, 73 JR EQ, and Successor mono—but with more features and routing flexibility.
The BritStrip's mic preamp features the same preamp as the 73 JR II, with a new custom input transformer co-designed with Carnhill and exclusively manufactured for HA in the St Ives factory.
The DI also comes from the highly acclaimed design found in the Heritage Audio 73 JR II, a Class A JFET circuit in front of the pickup transformer, offering all the color and weight you could want.
The BritStrip EQ features 3 Vinkor drivers in the midband and high pass filter sections. The mid band is ideal for sculpting drum sounds, guitars, vocals, etc.
The BritStrip's diode-bridge compressor, like that of the Successor, offers incredible flexibility for tracking, thanks to its blend control and elaborate sidechain filter. Additionally, two BritStrips can have their compressors linked for the ultimate stereo tracking solution.
