The Ibanez JBBM40-PW is August Burns Red guitarist JB Brubaker's signature model. It has an RG-inspired silhouette with a domed top and distinctive Pearl White finish. The back features JB Brubaker's signature, underlining its exclusive character.
The okume body delivers a clear, dynamic, well-balanced sound. The JBBM 3-piece maple/bubinga neck provides rigidity, stability and increased sustain. Its slim profile, with a thickness of 19 mm at the 1st fret and 21 mm at the 12th, makes for fast, precise playing.
The ebony fingerboard with its 400 mm radius offers a clean attack and immediate response. The 24 jumbo frets facilitate wide bends and soloing. The special JBBM inlay between frets 9 and 13 reinforces its visual identity on stage.
The guitar is equipped with an active EMG 81 set (bridge, ceramic) and 85 set (neck, Alnico). The 81 delivers a sharp attack and excellent saturation definition. The 85 offers a rounder, denser register, suited to thicker rhythms and singing leads.
The 3-position selector switch makes it easy to switch between the two pickups or their combination. Volume and tone controls ensure efficient adjustment in all situations. The Gibraltar Standard III bridge optimises vibration transfer and playing comfort. Gotoh MG-T self-locking tuning machines guarantee reliable tuning, even when playing intensively in the original Drop C tuning.

JB Brubaker is the lead guitarist of American metalcore band August Burns Red, a Lancaster-based outfit that has established itself as a major force on the global scene since 2003. Renowned for his technique, he makes a major contribution to the band's sound, combining inventive riffs, dazzling solos and ferociously controlled heaviness. A loyal collaborator of the Ibanez brand, he has his own signature model, the JBBM40, featuring the iconic design of his original green guitar with white stripes.
