Presentation
The Sterling by Music Man Majesty JP70 Stealth Black is a 7-string electric guitar that takes the iconic design of John Petrucci's JP7 and adds a contemporary twist. This model is built with a Nyatoh body, a wood renowned for its strength and sonic qualities. Its maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, combined with a 400 mm radius, ensure comfortable and smooth playability. The die-cast locking tuners and modern floating tremolo guarantee impeccable tuning stability, which is essential for shredders who don't want to see their hard work turn into cacophony.
The Sterling by Music Man humbucker pickups, positioned at the bridge and neck, are controlled by a 3-way selector switch. This configuration allows for a wide range of tones, ranging from powerful tones to more delicate nuances, with impressive clarity. The matte finish of the JP70, with its black hardware, gives the instrument a modern and clean look, while the JP Shield logo inlaid on the first fret adds a touch of refinement.
Designed to meet the needs of the most demanding guitarists, the JP70 is equipped with medium jumbo frets that facilitate bends and fast playing. With a scale length of 648 mm, this guitar allows you to explore extended ranges while maintaining optimal playability. The Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 7 Strings complete the package, offering a balanced tonal response and reliable performance; they allow you to play right away!
In short, the Sterling by Music Man Majesty JP70 Stealth Black is a guitar that combines performance and style, offering an instrument that lives up to the expectations of modern guitarists.

To find out more...
A guitarist since the age of 12, John Petrucci is a legend in the world of progressive metal. With inspirations ranging from Yes, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath to Metallica, his six hours of daily practice have made him "one of the best guitarists to ever lay his hands on a guitar neck", according to Premier Guitar.
With his childhood friend Kevin Moore (keyboardist), they formed a cover band in the 80s. It was at Boston high school that he met Mike Portnoy (drummer) with his other childhood friend, John Myung (bassist). After playing covers of Rush and Iron Maiden at Berklee, these four friends decided to form the band "Majesty". This name was already taken, so they renamed their band "Dream Theater".
This would not prevent John Petrucci, years later, from naming his signature guitars "Majesty".
