Metal / Modern Guitar

Jackson's iconic Kelly is back with this X series, and its Deep Purple Metallic colorway smells of nostalgia for the Heavy and Thrash of the 80s/90s. In an Explorer-type format, this KEX is composed of a maple neck with graphite reinforcements, crossing a poplar body, a compensated radius for great comfort and two Jackson humbucker pickups with high output level. The most furious technicians will be in heaven with its Floyd Rose Special vibrato to make devilish harmonics roar.

A great representative of 80s Metal, the Kelly was created based on the Gibson Explorer but which would have been made even more aggressive and modern.

Designated and named after the Australian guitarist Bradford Kelly of the band Heaven in the early eighties, it especially became iconic in the hands of the brilliant Marty Friedman during his time as lead guitarist of the Thrash titans Megadeth.

This X series pays a vibrant tribute to the model of the time, thanks to a super Deep Purple Metallic color that breathes the beaches of California and the neon lights of Florida clubs.

But make no mistake, it is not here to do lace: its maple neck with graphite reinforcement crossing poplar wings were designed for a massive sustain, an aggressive sound and a rock-solid tuning stability.

This neck, topped with a laurel fingerboard, is a highway inviting speeding with its compensated radius. Soloists will instantly find their marks.

Jackson has also thought of them by equipping the Beast with a Floyd Rose Special vibrato, which is just waiting to bring out strident harmonics or to make your notes plunge into infernal Dive Bombs.

To top it all off, the two Jackson double-coil pickups have a high output level and will bring all the aggression necessary to your riffs, all controlled by a Master Volume, a Master Tone and a 3-position selector.
