A body marked by the passage of time sets the scene for the Jet Guitars JS-800, a black ST-style silhouette with a relic-style patina. The roasted poplar body boasts a dry, warm grain, enhanced by a Distressed finish that evokes decades on stage even before the first chord is struck.

In the hand, the torrefied Canadian maple neck, shaped to a Modern C profile, glides smoothly all the way to the 647.7 mm scale length. The fingerboard, also made from roasted maple, offers a clear, crisp feel under the fingers, with a 241.3 mm radius for generous bends. Twenty-two frets span the length of the neck, supported by a dual-action truss rod that maintains the neck’s curve over time, whilst the bone/polymer fibre nut minimises string slippage when tuning.

The J-87 Alnico V pickups, nestled beneath Aged Parchment/Zebra covers inherited from the 2024 model, produce a crisp, textured tone, striking a balance between the bite of a single-coil and the warmth of a humbucker. A single volume control and a 3-position selector switch are all you need to switch between these tones without distracting from your playing. The fixed bridge ensures tuning stability, the aged chrome tuners extend the relic aesthetic right to the end of the neck, and the pickguard completes this well-worn look, tailor-made for garage rock and raw blues.
