The Haunting Mids is a preamp with an equaliser for increasing or decreasing the midrange. The Mids and Sweep controls work together to find the midrange frequencies to boost or cut. The Lo/Hi selector acts as a Q function and controls the opening of the frequency peak affected by the Mids setting. The Haunting Mids is not an overdrive pedal but a midrange control pedal.
