In 2012, the Kala brand presented its electro-acoustic bass Exotic Mahogany U-Bass for the first time. This instrument quickly became one of the Californian manufacturer's best-sellers.

This model, from the U-Bass range, seduces with a deep and resonant sound, close to that of double basses.
If this sound quality comes from the exotic mahogany used for the manufacture of its body, it also depends on the Road Toad Pahoehoe strings that equip it. These are composed of an exclusive blend of polyurethane.
It is above all by its aesthetics that we recognize this bass. The warm tones of brown and orange as well as the distinctive "tiger stripe" veins of the exotic mahogany give it a unique character.
On the electronic side, the Fishman U-Bass EQ module allows precise control of the volume as well as the high and low frequencies, while integrating a tuner.
