Synthesizer

The NTS-1 mkII is an extremely powerful, flexible and fun-to-explore synth. While retaining the versatile features of its predecessor, the Nu:Tekt NTS-1, this new iteration, unveiled at the 2024 NAMM Show, adds a range of new sounds, including new oscillator and modulation types, using its Audio IN signal as a modulation source to create FM, AM or RING sounds.

The new NTS-1 mkII is the ultimate DIY synth and effect. It offers a range of new sounds, a built-in sequencer, an improved interface and more customisation options than ever before.

This new version features a new 18-key touch keyboard, replacing the first-generation ribbon controller, for precise playing and accurate sequencing. This upgrade enables polyphonic MIDI messages to be sent, opening the door to custom oscillators and effects that take advantage of the NTS-1's paraphonic potential.

As well as a powerful arpeggiator, the new 8-step sequencer opens up a whole new world of musical possibilities. With live and step recording modes (with settings for gate length and velocity per note) available in combination with its new keyboard and easy octave switch, the NTS-1 mkII offers an intuitive and seamless performance experience.

The NTS-1 mkII eliminates the risk of forgetting your creative sparks. A new autosave function recalls all the settings used in your last performance, including step sequencer data, so you can pick up where you left off. No more struggling to remember button settings and pattern changes!

The NTS-1 mkII is also an incredibly capable and expandable FX. In the mkII, Korg has added many new modulation (distortion, fuzz...), delay (tape delay, tempo-synced delays...), and reverb effects, as well as handy OFF oscillator and THRU filter functions, making it a versatile effects processor that will cover all your needs at home or on stage.

Integrating the NTS-1 mkII is now easier than ever. In addition to SYNC IN/OUT and MIDI IN, a new MIDI OUT has been added for seamless connection and expanded possibilities with other devices. In addition, most of the parameters on NTS-1 mkII have been made MIDI CC compatible for deeper control.
