The Latin Percussion LP14431 cajon is the signature model of Mona Tavakoli, a percussionist who has transformed the image of the cajon in rock and pop.

Designed in close collaboration with the artist, it is distinguished first and foremost by its double striking panel, allowing the musician to explore two distinct surfaces depending on the style of playing required. The birch body ensures solidity and projection, while the two birch tops offer great clarity. The 4 phosphor-bronze strings inside, already tuned at the factory, provide a clean, precise response to keystrokes.

There's also the exclusive 3-way soundhole design, designed by Mona to enhance resonance and enrich the bass. This design choice is not just aesthetic: it has a real influence on the depth of the bass sounds. The instrument also features a Peruvian-style panel, which brings out the woody, natural sound of the traditional cajon. This combination gives players a wide range of timbres to suit different musical contexts.

In addition to its technical qualities, this model reflects Mona's artistic journey, known for her collaborations with Jason Mraz. Her desire to make the cajon a versatile instrument is reflected in this design.
