Presentation
The J. Leiva Omeya Bass Studio Lacquered Cajon has been developed for musicians who pay particular attention to low frequencies. Whether accompanying an acoustic guitar, supporting a full band or recording in the studio, this cajon has been designed to give greater control over the way the bass sounds and takes its place in the mix.
One of its special features is its configurable bass system. Depending on the needs of the moment, the musician can direct the bass response in different ways, with diffusion from the underside of the Cajon or from the more traditional rear opening. This approach makes it easier to adapt the instrument's behaviour to the acoustics of a room, a sound recording or an amplified performance.
Despite this extensive bass research, the Cajon remains relatively compact and easy to transport. The high frequencies retain a marked presence and contribute to dynamic playing in which the accents stand out clearly, while the low frequencies add depth without weighing down the ensemble.
Its Russian birch construction, 3.2 mm soundboard with Built-In system and six-string D.T.S. adjustable from the outside complete an instrument designed to adapt to a wide range of musical contexts. A Cajon designed for percussionists who like to adjust their sound to suit each situation, rather than limiting themselves to a single sound colour.
