J.Leiva - Medina B.Box White Lacquered

The J. Leiva Medina B.Box White Lacquered Cajon has been designed for percussionists who want to go further than a traditional Cajon. The B.Box concept places the instrument at the heart of the rhythm, allowing footwork to be integrated without cluttering up the playing surface. In this way, the musician retains full freedom of movement with the hands while enriching his or her rhythmic possibilities.

This approach opens up new perspectives in many musical contexts. When a piece requires more foundation or an acoustic duet needs a more present pulse, the B.Box makes it possible to develop more complete playing without adding bulky equipment around the percussionist. The Cajon becomes a central element of the groove.

Its construction is based on a seven-layer, 10mm-thick Eastern European birch frame, combined with a 3mm-thick birch soundboard. This choice of materials contributes to the precision of the attacks and the overall balance of the instrument. The four strings of the D.T.S. system, adjustable from the outside, make it easy to adjust the timbre response according to the musician's preferences.
