Lewitt - LCT 440 PURE Stereo Pair

The Lewitt LCT 440 PURE Stereo Pair is a matched version of one of the brand's most widely used microphones, with a rigorous selection process resulting in two units with perfectly identical characteristics. The pairing process is based on automated measurements of frequency response and sensitivity, guaranteeing real consistency between the two microphones when stereo recording.

Each microphone uses a 1-inch condenser capsule with a 3-micron gold-plated Mylar diaphragm. This design allows sources to be picked up with precision, preserving the detail and nuance of the performance. The cardioid polar pattern makes it easy to isolate the main source, while maintaining a natural image in space.

The low self-noise of 7 dB(A) makes it possible to work with very dynamic or very thin sources without adding parasitic noise. Combined with a dynamic range of 133 dB and a maximum SPL of 140 dB, this microphone is equally suited to vocal pick-ups, acoustic instruments, drum overheads or wider stereo pick-ups.

The advantage of this Stereo Pair version lies in the possibility of producing immersive recordings. On an acoustic guitar, a stereo configuration reproduces the placement of the instrument in space. On a drum kit, it captures the whole kit coherently. When recording vocals + instrument, it opens up more natural and wider recording possibilities.

The kit includes a stereo coupling bar, making it easy to set up XY, ORTF or other conventional configurations. Suspensions reduce the mechanical vibrations transmitted by the mic stand, while magnetic pop filters can be fitted directly onto the mic for vocal pick-ups. Windscreens complete the package for environments sensitive to air movement.

The system is supplied in a carrying case, with a dedicated bag for storing accessories. This configuration means you can get a complete system straight away, without having to add any external components.
