Folk Guitar
The D-18 Molly Tuttle, sold with case, from Martin & Co combines the spirit of historic dreadnoughts with a resolutely musical approach. Inspired by the artist's 1943 D-18, it delivers a precise attack, remarkable clarity and natural balance, much appreciated when flatpicking. Its 1940s-style neck and scalloped bracing create a dynamic response that's ideal for both bluegrass and expressive acoustic playing.

Presentation
The Martin & Co D-18 Molly Tuttle, sold with case, celebrates both the brand's acoustic heritage and the musical universe of an essential artist. Inspired by the 1943 D-18 used by Molly Tuttle, this 14-fret dreadnought features a historically accurate construction designed for demanding guitarists. The solid spruce top combined with solid mahogany back and sides deliver a clean attack, balanced projection and easy-to-read notes, particularly suited to flatpicking and playing open chords.
The rearward shifted GE scalloped bracing enhances the instrument's responsiveness, while the Authentic 1941 neck profile and 1 11/16" nut offer a familiar, fluid and comfortable feel. The ebony fingerboard features exclusive moon phase inlays, a strong visual signature of this model. The Vintage Sunburst finish adds a warm presence, complemented by open gear mechanisms and a tortoiseshell-style pickguard.
Delivered in a vintage-style light blue moulded hard case, the D-18 Molly Tuttle is aimed at musicians looking for an expressive instrument rooted in tradition, but designed to play, travel and create without constraint.
