Martinez - Standard 3/4 MC-20S RN Senior

The Martinez Standard MC-20S RN Senior is a 3/4-size classical guitar designed for children and young learners taking their first lessons. Its 615 mm (24.21-inch) scale length reduces the distance between the frets and helps little hands form their first chords without having to stretch their fingers too much. Whether at home or at music school, its dimensions make it easier for beginners to get started and leave more room for learning the proper technique.

The spruce top gives the notes a clear attack, with enough projection to be heard in a classroom. The mahogany back and sides add more roundness to the lower notes and soften the character of the spruce. This combination of woods gives this classical guitar a balanced sound that carries well, even with its smaller size.

The gloss finish reflects the light from the ceiling and can be wiped clean with a cloth after each session. The 52 mm (2.05-inch) nut keeps each string in its own channel, leaving enough space to place a finger without brushing against the neighbouring string. Whether for your first Carulli piece, a romance learnt by ear or the end-of-year recital, this guitar will serve you well right up until you move on to the 4/4 size, at which point it will be passed on to its little brother.
