Rich, full-bodied bass and crisp treble – that’s what stands out from the very first chords played on the Martinez MC-18 Toledo 4/4 classical guitar + case. This model from the Standard series features a classic body shape and a scale length of 647.7 mm (25.5"), which ensures comfortable spacing between the frets.

The laminated spruce top withstands changes in humidity without warping, whilst the sapelli back and sides produce a warm bass tone. The okoumé neck maintains its straightness thanks to the double-action truss rod. The amaranth fingerboard and bridge allow your fingers to glide smoothly across 19 frets, with mother-of-pearl inlays at the 5th, 7th and 9th frets. The 52 mm (2.05") bone nut transmits every vibration from the strings.

The Martinez S3 tuning machines hold their tuning from one repeat to the next, and the Alice strings are pre-fitted so the guitar is ready to play straight out of the box. The natural colour with a satin finish leaves the wood grain visible and does not stick to the forearm. Founded in Germany in 1978, Martinez has been working with luthier Kenny Hill since 2005, and this guitar, manufactured in China, follows the Spanish tradition whilst utilising modern machinery. Its gig bag protects the wood whilst on the move.
