NUX - Trident
New for NAMM 2023, the NME-5 Trident is a multi-effects pedal designed for live use, with a wide range of connections, including an effects loop, 2 XLR outputs, an expression pedal input and MIDI connections. Built like a tank, its one-piece die-cast aluminium chassis will stand up to any gig.
Presentation
As a result, the Trident benefits from a new hardware platform with 2 DSPs, one to manage all the effects, and the other to manage the amp modelling algorithm.
In addition, the TRIDENT uses high-end converters and analogue circuits to achieve clear sound with low noise levels.
Just like their real counterparts, the 27 amps included have HIGH / LOW inputs, 4 inputs for patch cable jumping and a voicing switch for maximum adjustment.
The TRIDENT is a powerful IR loader and includes 27 IR Cabs with a resolution of 1024 samples.
Adjust your cabinet tone with 4 microphones (3 positions each), to adjust low cut / high cut / IR level.
And finally, expand your IR library with third-party IRs and 32 additional slots.
Trident editing software will automatically convert the IR format on your PC or Mac.
The TRIDENT's knob and switch layout is similar to that of standard pedals, so you can easily switch effects on and off. SELECT & PARAM encoders with LCD display provide more detail on parameters, block order / status.
Many musicians have contributed to the development of Trident, leaving their mark in the form of pre-created patches:
Larry Mitchell, Pete Thorn, Reb Beach, Leon Todd, Gustavo Guerra, Joko Reantaso, Vinai T, Mike Hermans, Jonathan Koh, Ray Huang, Jimmy Lin, Silas Fernandes.
