Presentation
The Guitar Butler is a two-channel preamp pedal for electric guitar. It has been designed for guitarists looking for a simple, compact solution for sculpting the sound of their playing in a unique and complete way.
It features a vintage-sounding Clair channel that adds warmth to humbuckers or sparkle to simple coils, while giving you the option of placing your pedals upstream.
The Dirty channel, on the other hand, lets you switch between velvety overdrive and juicy distortion.
Amplification is provided by an analogue circuit with 3 JFET transistors. This type of transistor produces a harmonic sound as close as possible to that of a tube amp.
Controls are provided by 3-band equalisation and gain control for each channel. However, there's also a Presence control on the Dirty channel, for fine-tuning your distortion, and two volume controls for setting two different sound thresholds selectable by foot.
Finally, Orange rounds out the Guitar Butler Preamp's arsenal with useful connections for use on stage or in the recording studio. In addition to a series FX loop and an amp output, there's a balanced XLR output with first-class speaker simulation.
