Patina - PS-6 OW R Olympic White

When you pick it up, the PS-6 OW R feels light thanks to its paulownia body. The Olympic White relic finish already shows signs of wear, giving the guitar the look of one that’s seen a bit of the stage. The three single-coil pickups in an SSS configuration deliver crisp, clear tones. In the middle position, the sound retains that slightly ‘hollow’ quality typical of SSS guitars.

The roasted maple neck with a Modern C profile remains stable and comfortable along its entire length. The satin finish prevents any sticking sensation when your hand gets warm whilst playing. The rosewood fingerboard with 22 stainless steel frets allows for smooth movement without any rough spots under your fingers. The 13.75″ radius facilitates both open chords and tighter solos.

The locking tuners minimise tuning loss when you pull on the strings or use the vibrato. The tremolo bridge maintains a clean response after normal playing. The bone nut helps stabilise the string action when you play a little harder.

The Alnico V pickups retain a clear attack even when you turn up the volume. The neck pickup delivers a rounder tone for clean passages or arpeggios. The bridge pickup really comes into its own in a more overdriven context. It’s the sort of guitar you plug in and start playing without spending ages fiddling with the settings!
