Presentation
The Patina PS-6 PP R Purple catches the eye with its nitrocellulose ‘relic’ finish, which reveals ageing effects already applied in the workshop. The purple colour offers a change from more traditional finishes whilst retaining a vintage feel.
The paulownia body keeps the instrument lightweight, which you’ll quickly notice during rehearsals or gigs. The three single-coil Alnico V pickups deliver clear, detailed tones with excellent note-by-note definition.
The roasted maple neck features a satin finish that allows your hand to glide naturally whilst moving up and down the fretboard. Its Modern C profile is equally suited to chords and faster passages. The rosewood fingerboard features 22 jumbo stainless steel frets with rounded edges. The luminous side markers remain visible when the stage is dimly lit.
The vibrato bridge allows you to add effects without making the guitar difficult to retune. The locking tuners limit string movement at the headstock. The bone nut ensures smooth string action during bends and when using the vibrato. The 13.75″ radius provides a natural feel under the fingers for both chords and solos.
The volume and tone controls allow you to quickly adjust the character of the pickups to suit your amp or pedalboard. The middle positions reproduce that hollow sound so popular on SSS configurations. The factory-fitted string set is a D’Addario EXL110 in .010–.046 gauge.
