Presentation
Through an interactive approach, Playtime Engineering’s Blipblox After Dark synthesiser allows you to shape sounds and explore musical ideas. Its 16 tone generators, multimode resonant filter and two envelope generators offer a variety of ways to modify sounds.
The two LFOs and the 3 x 3 modulation matrix allow you to experiment with different variations. To get started, over 300 built-in melodies provide a foundation to listen to, modify and play along with. The rhythm section includes over 100 drum samples whose pitch can be adjusted, whilst the multi-tap stereo delay adds an effect to the sounds.
Smart LED animations help you understand the settings without a screen. Thanks to the built-in speaker and power supply via three AA batteries, the instrument can be used without needing to be near a mains socket. Its MIDI input and audio output also allow it to be integrated into a compatible setup.
