The Q Acoustics 5050 Matte Black pair of floorstanding speakers use C³ Continuous Curved Cone™ technology to improve coherence between mid/bass and high frequencies. Its hermetically sealed tweeter inspired by the Concept series reduces internal resonances, while Point-2-Point™ bracing and Helmholtz HPE™ equalisers ensure greater cabinet stability and more controlled bass reproduction.

The pair of Q Acoustics 5050 Matte Black floor-standing speakers has been designed to offer a full and accurate reproduction suitable for modern hi-fi systems. Its acoustic architecture is based on C³ Continuous Curved Cone™ technology, developed to ensure a smoother integration between the high frequencies and the midrange/bass while improving dynamics at the bottom end of the spectrum.
The two 150mm drivers benefit from an optimised structure to enhance power handling and improve low-frequency control. The 25mm tweeter, a direct result of developments in the Concept series, is mounted in a hermetically sealed, mechanically isolated compartment to reduce the impact of vibration and internal cabinet pressure on high frequencies.
The cabinet incorporates Point-2-Point™ internal bracing, which stiffens the entire structure to limit parasitic vibrations and improve the focus of the stereo image. Helmholtz HPE™ pressure equalizers also help to reduce internal standing waves to achieve a cleaner, more balanced reproduction in the low frequencies.
