The Revv Amplification D20 Black Carbon amp head is designed for guitarists who want the sound and response of a tube amp in a modern, practical format. You can use it with a classic cabinet or play directly through headphones and XLR output. Its compact size also makes it easy to take with you to rehearsals and gigs.
The D20 works with 2 x 12AX7 preamp tubes and 2 x 6V6 power tubes. This combination produces a warm sound with rich mids and good touch sensitivity. The built-in boost and digital reverb make it easy to add more fullness or presence to your playing.
One of the highlights of this model is the integration of Two Notes Torpedo technology. Thanks to the built-in reactive load, you can play without a speaker cabinet while retaining a cabinet-like feel. The virtual cabinet simulations also allow you to record directly into an audio interface without using a microphone.
The buffered effects loop, headphone output and MIDI connections make this head highly practical for the modern studio. Revv has also added bias test points for easy lamp maintenance. The Black Carbon finish provides a sober, modern look that's a welcome change from more conventional amp heads.
