Rme - MADI 50m Duplex

The RME MADI 50m Duplex is the longest version in the MADI Duplex range supplied under these product codes. It is designed using two 62.5/125 µm multimode optical fibres, housed within an orange cable 2 x 2.5 mm in diameter. Both ends feature SC connectors to ensure connection to equipment fitted with this interface.

This duplex architecture is one of the model’s distinctive features. It sets it apart from the MADI Simplex cables in the RME range, whilst retaining the same type of multimode fibre. In a digital audio infrastructure, these characteristics allow the nature of the connection being used to be quickly identified and the appropriate cabling selected to match the interfaces on the equipment.

The RME MADI 50m Duplex can be used as a MADI fibre-optic cable for studios, control rooms or digital audio installations where the connection requires a particularly long cable. The 50-metre length also offers greater flexibility in routing the cable between different points within an installation, without limiting its use to rack-mounted configurations.

Catalogue number MADI50D, this model complements the 3-, 6-, 10- and 20-metre Duplex versions. It therefore features the same key specifications – SC-SC connectors and 62.5/125 µm multimode fibre – but with a length extended to 50 metres. Finally, the orange sheath makes it easy to identify amongst other cables in a MADI installation.
