Roland introduced the first successful Mesh drumhead in 1997, and these pads have since become a standard. The result of years of development, our double-layer Mesh skin provides stick resistance and bounce very similar to that of an acoustic drumhead, with adjustable tension that lets you get the feel you're used to from a standard drum key. The single-layer Mesh heads used by other brands of electronic drums are not made from the same materials, and so don't provide the same playing feel. They often result in less accurate hit detection and dynamic response. The TD-07KV comes with genuine Roland Mesh pads on the snare and toms, giving you the most accurate feel and hit detection on the market.
