The Rupert Neve Designs Portico 5015-H combines the famous models of preamplifiers and compressors of the Portico series in an unbeatable Channel strip. The mic preamp on the Portico 5015 is identical to the 5012 and includes 72 dB of 2-stage gain, a low-cut filter, a 48V phantom power, a Mute and an 8-point LED VU meter.

  • FF / FB: VCA Feed-Forward or Feed-Back Control.
  • S / C or LINK: Several 5043 can be chained via the rear panel jacks. When a single channel is turned on, its voltage control appears on the "LINK" jack. When both channels are switched on, they are "linked" together and their voltage controls also appear on the "LINK" jacks.
  • Selecting LINE or BUSS inputs: Use XLR inputs to enter the line level, or "Buss" jacks when using the Buss output of a Portico element.
  • Maximum output level: Transformer balanced output + 25dBu.

  • Connector: 5.5mm X 2.5mm jack, positive in the center.
  • Consumption: at 9VDC = 1.0A at 12VDC = 730 mA at 15VDC = 570 mA at 18VDC = 480 mA.
  • Preamplifier Technical Specification Input: Symmetrical, using transformer-based amplifier with low-pass filter excluding frequencies above 150 kHz. Combines the advantages of an electronically balanced input with a real transformer. When phantom power is disengaged, it serves as a very high quality line input.
  • Input Impedance: 10,000 Ohms at + or - 20%.
  • Noise: measured at the main output: impedance 150 Ohms Measured from 22 Hz to 22 kHz: With gain at unit level> -100dBu. With 66 dB gain> -62 dBu Equivalent input noise> -128 dBu.

  • "Trim": Adjustable potentiometer from -6dB to + 6dB.
  • Maximum Output Level: Transformer Balanced Output, 20 Hz to 40 kHz: + 25dBu ("clipe" just above + 26dB).
  • "Mute" simply mutes the main outputs.

  • Main output @ 20Hz, + 20dBu output level, no load> 0.01%.

  • "Silk" function: The Rupert Neve 5012 mainly uses single-face transformer circuits that exclude any risk of distortion. The silk button adjusts the frequency spectrum and delivers an extremely soft and musical sound.
  • Buss output: The "buss" output is intended to power the "buss" inputs of the Rupert Neve Designs 5014 and modules of the Portico series.
